Beauty

Beauty is Lena Waithe’s bold telling of the last few weeks before a once-in-a-generation singing talent becomes a household name.  Instead of listening to Beauty sing, the audience is asked to instead listen to the idols she grows up studying, and to the conversations she has as everyone around her lines up to stake their claim and take control.  A dark dreamy film about a the personal cost of fame before those costs are paid.
